ICE !!! Making Any Statewide

Is it making ice anywhere in Minnesota this year? Every year it seems to get thinner. Years ago drilled 2 feet at this time of year, now lucky to see that all year.

Most lakes in the northern 1/3 of the state seem to have at least 12-15" of ice.

Sure not getting any thinner here around Brainerd. In fact it's getting to be great conditions.

Ice is 16-18 inches on the lakes I have been on. IMO it think that is about perfect. Lots of winter left. Cold nights and little snow cover i'm pretty sure we will see 2 feet of ice soon.
