maros91
What do you guys use when there isn't any snow? Heard of some resorts using some type of foam but can't recall what it is.
Vitreus
Good question. I usually just tough it out but I'd like to know if there's a reasonable solution.
highlife4me
Ever since I installed catch covers and hole sleeves I haven't had to bank my wheel house. I have seen others use hay bales and styrofoam but that always leaves a mess and does not impress others on the ice including CO's.
alumamusky
Drill holes outside and shovel the shavings around the house.Takes a lot of holes with 6-8" of ice though.
pushbutton
When really cold have some carpet remnants cut to fit and lathe it on. Works pretty good except for where you get your melt and can be tough to get out sometimes. Sometimes have to pour hotwater on it, but then it gets waterlogged and stinky. Best to pull it off in the middle of a sunny day, but not always possible. Still better than leaving a mess behind. Like said above, will usually block low and just tough it with sleeves. seasock
Guys I know would shoot timberwolfs and stuff them around the bottom of the house. When there weren't enough wolfs to go around they would take rolls of toilet paper and paper towels and wrap it arounf the bottom then put some water on it to freeze it in place.
