so i did it.... just purchased my lx7. after 10 years of the vex i started seeing red...

i do have a question however, i am unable to view any water temp. the temp gauge is there but it just reads --F. any ideas? the currenct firmware is 3.0

i dont know if it is tru or not but i read on a thread the temp is a new feature for 3.1 or what ever the new one is and it is for the high speed transducer for in the boat. i have the 2.9 on mine and i havnt seen any temp gauge on it. is the new one downloadable yet? they said it would be a week or two a month ago.

the water temp is for use with the high speed summer time trnsducer. the other thing that I heard was added was there is now zoom in the chart mode. ver 3.01 is the most current firmware for the LX7. those that are still running 2.9 can update once 3.01 is put on marcums site. my unit is still running 2.9 but once the 3.01 update comes out I will do the upload.

i am so close to buying a lx 7 but not sure if i should buy the ice ducer for my lawrance hds 7 currantly useing a vex fl 18

I have a HDS 5 and 7 that are used for GPS on the ice butI prefered the LX-7 over either for a dedicated ice graph... The HDS units love their power and eat up batteries alot faster...

Yes the temp guage is used for open water for boat use only.

I just recently purchased a LX 6 and I'm wondering if you guys are having any issues when you turn it to dynamic depth the bottom of the lake on the flasher it appears as though there's a pie shaped that comes and goes, also is your color green more like a really light sea green, all my colors appear to be very light and dull. Thanks
