gonehunting
I was in the market for a 10.25 inch chipper auger for my lazer pro. I found one used on the classifieds that had drilled three holes for $50.00. The guy went to a lazer style instead. Anyway I remember hearing something about problems with pitch of the blades on some of the Strikemaster flightings. Anyway is the pitch more of a concern with the Lazer blades than the chipper style? If nothing else I guess I am out $50. Just thought it was a good deal but hope I didn't jump gun. Seen alot of pictures (looks like new) but am picking up tomorrow. Give me an honest answer, I am going to keep my end of the bargain with the guy. I just like the chipper style for Lake Winnipeg which has alot of wind blown dirt in the ice along with sediment and it eats the Lazer blades up. Brad B
it is the lazer drill units that get out of pitch. chippers don't do this. chippers are also better for reopening holes.
mrklean
I have a chipper style i like it gets hung up at the bottom of the hole at times thats the only downside

gonehunting
Thanks for the reply. Glad to hear it was the Lazer style with the issues. I'm looking for one more of these 10.25 inch chipper units for a friend if anyone has one they want to let go.
