Strikemaster Auger Flighting Question

I was in the market for a 10.25 inch chipper auger for my lazer pro. I found one used on the classifieds that had drilled three holes for $50.00. The guy went to a lazer style instead. Anyway I remember hearing something about problems with pitch of the blades on some of the Strikemaster flightings. Anyway is the pitch more of a concern with the Lazer blades than the chipper style? If nothing else I guess I am out $50. Just thought it was a good deal but hope I didn't jump gun. Seen alot of pictures (looks like new) but am picking up tomorrow. Give me an honest answer, I am going to keep my end of the bargain with the guy. I just like the chipper style for Lake Winnipeg which has alot of wind blown dirt in the ice along with sediment and it eats the Lazer blades up.
