Recommended Posts

My rear diferential is starting to howl i am asuming bearings are starting to go the trucks got a 134000 miles on it.Just wondering if anbody had recomedations on where to get it fixed in minnesota. Last time had this problem not on this vehicle a difrent one i had it fixed localy the differential failed with in 4 months of being fixed. Talked to lots of other people in my area they all have had problems finding anbody to setup rear diferentials properly. Just looking for a good shop that knows whats going on.

Minnesota is a pretty broad area?

I agree.

I have rebuilt many of these rear diffs. If the shop has the right tools to do them, and an experienced tech, they shouldnt have any problem with them. I would look towards a driveline shop, or a dealer. Not saying other shops dont have the equipment, or the knowledge, just saying your odds are better there.

I guess I like ZBAG if I am getting stuff done for myself. Proven Force has always been good too. My thought is since the places that specialize in running gears see a lot of them they might have more knowledge of what trouble spots to look out for and in turn beef that stuff up...Also, I have found that a lot of times they are cheaper too.
