We've lost a great decoy carver

For all you carvers here, we've lost a great one.

My great friend and neighbor Dave Beighley was killed in a tragic car/pedestrian accident on Dec 6 in Perham. Those of you who attended the annual decoy show in Perham probably knew Dave and his boys who also carve.

So when you see your first fish of the year, think of Dave and smile knowing he sent it to you.

Awww man. I'd heard about the accident but didn't know it was him. I have one of his decoys sitting right over my head as I type this. Just terribly sad news.
