Fishin4fun_MN
From the Okuma HSOforum, it is a one way bearing. Check out the schematic.

Fred_Bear
What size SLV would pair up best with a 28" power noodle?
Eric_Kruger
What size SLV would pair up best with a 28" power noodle? I would go with the 4/5 for a 28" rod
dfeste
2/3 or 4/5. I have both and prefer the 2/3 size but it boils down to what you like better. Not the best answer but either will work fine. If anyone is interested amazon has both sizes for less than $45 with free shipping.
Fred_Bear
Is the extra 1" of line pickup noticeable? Is the extra weight/size noticeable?Sorry for the questions but I have no way to get this in hand before buying it. Thanks for the heads up on amazon.
dfeste
.3 ounces should not be a noticeable weight differance. I use these reels in shallow (20' or less) water so I don't see much issue as far as line pick up being a factor. This comes down to overall size. You've heard two differant opinions from two differant guys and all I can say is neither of us are wrong. It's all in what fits you better. A couple years ago I was in the exact same situation you are and I ordered the 4/5. That reel worked just fine for me. Later that season I ordered a 2/3 and that is all I've bought from then on. For what it's worth I do have relatively small hands so that may be why I prefer the smaller reel.

Thanks for the heads up on amazon. I think it really depends on fishing depth. I only fish in 15' or less so it doesn't really mean much to me. If you fish deeper, it may, it's really going to be a personal thing for each. I get over that deep and I run spinning reels and I only have a few as I just don't get that deep hardly ever. Just where I live and what I fish sorta deal. I only own 2/3's
