This is one of my favorites from december of last year up on Mille lacs. I guess you would call it a time when "ice was forming" as the ice was trying to piece itself back together up there. You can actually tell where there is open water in the background.

Hardyboy... I wonder if your picture is from the same weekend. I believe mine was taken around new years day. It is not a camera phone picture. I think i have the full resolution picture somewhere. Taken with a point and shoot canon.

mine was from early january just a bit after new years and it was taken from a phone camera. I have a few more from that weekend and they are some of my favorite photos. If i can get them uploaded from my phone i will post them.

Well jeremy I dug around awhile and came up empty. I'm thinking what happened is that the photo I posted is a cropped portion of a larger photo. The person fishing in the photo is my dad and my girlfriend and I cropped it down so my dad was the only one in the picture. Then we had it made into a canvas for him as a gift. It is still one of my favorite outdoor photos and hope you like it!

Younggun I was there for that What ever came about that Jeep I was one of the first on hand except your crew that was riding in there I can say there was a lot of lessons learned after seeing that. I wish you could zoom in on the drivers face as he was walking around there his look was speechless.

Haha. It was totalled. It was his girlfriends jeep. Yea they learned the hard way. I wasn't there. He was in the dog house for a while. From what I understand, it went in further then the picture shows. I guess they got a wrecker out there to pull it out.

I saw this photo online... This photo is from someone on HSO forums. I take no credit in this photo but I think it's an amazing photo that represents ice fishing very well. Whoever took this photo is an awesome photographer... And I hope they speak up and claim this...

I think it was taken by Buzbunni. I might be wrong but I remember seeing it last year and I think he was the one that took it.

yeah. I'm the driver of this debocle. Freaked me out. That crack was alot smaller before I went over it. Notice the tracks in front of the jeep...I wasnt the only one to cross there, just the last one.
