Mixed gas into truck?

Recommended Posts

I have 1/2 gallon of 50:1 non-oxy gas from spring, can I just pore this in the tank of my 01' burban, or is there a chance at messing up the cat or o2 sensor?

I did not stabilize it and want to get some fresh stuff for the snow blower.

I regularly pour that amount in my Ranger(16? gallon tank). I wait until the tank is at a 1/4 and then fill right up with fresh gas to make sure its mixed in well. no issues. anything more than a gallon or if its really funky, I trade it for a cold beer to a friend who has an old beater van who doesn't care what goes in the tank.

That is a pretty small amount. If you do, put it in just before you fill the tank.

Hennepin county waste transfer stations will also take gas for diposal,or at least used to. You do have to come back for your can later though. Some shops don't mind adding it to their drain oil too.
