TC Omega sights

Recommended Posts

I'm going to upgrade from my TC Impact to a TC Omega. Everything seems to be great about this muzzleloader except that I've read that some guys are having issues with their sights. Should I have them fixed right out of the box or should I shoot a bunch of different loads and sabots before I decide to do it.

Personally I would throw a set of williams fire sights on it and you will never be disappointed.

My buddy broke his front site this weekend and we couldnt find any sights at any of the local stores up where we were, Got home and ordered a set of williams, should be here in a couple of days.

I have the omega z5 and the stock sites have been fine. I never needed to adjust them from out of the box.

As my eyes get older though, I have considered switching to a peep site. Right now, the stock sight fully covers one of those shoot n see targets at 100 yards. It would be nice to have a bit more fine aiming with the peep.

Tru Glo Muzzle Brite Ghost Ring sight. Takes a minute to get used to and you can actually see your entire target past 80 yards.

Retails for $62.00 but you can find it at amazon for about $30 to $40.

I had a williams peep and custom front post on my last muzzy. Picked up a new one friday. Just using the stock sights for the remainder of the year but i think these sights look nice.

Any idea of what size the front bead is? You say you can see your entire target (That's why i had a custom post made for my last gun)

I took the advise from some one on here last year an unscrew the peep an drilled it outto the size of the unit, ull see what i mean when u get one, the way the peep is in its origional state, for me the peep hole was just a tad small but drilling it out to the size of the tube works great. If u understand my description.

Oh yea I understand, and I shot peeps for the first 3-4 years with my winchester model 69A .22 until I could afford a nice scope and I have always wanted to get back into shooting the peep besides the eyes are growing older and I think that it would be more user friendly. grin
