rebel102285
ice castles quality absolutely sucks though!!! and quite frankly they refuse to stand behind their warranty on ANYTHING sure their 16ft houses may work just fine but anything bigger than that you are on borrowed time... I had a 2010 27 ft (24 plus V) that the frame bent on the very first outing, the winches wound up snapping, the pulleys are the most idiodic design ever they are solid welded and seized up after second use i had to cut all of the pullys off replace with new and put greasable bushing in with a grade 8 bolt ... after owning an icecastle and dealing with constant problems for 2 years i cannot reccomend them to anyone!!!! dougger222
I recall a fifth wheel triple axle ice castle at the ice fishing show last year or the year before. My only impression were the cracked covers for the holes (not Catch Covers).Since the house didn't have a cargo door suspect foot traffic caused the covers to break.ice castle= massed produced fish houses of low quality. My wifes step dad dropped $11K on one back in 05 and was not impressed with the quality at all. BartmanMN
Call the guy and ask him. Sounds really nice. Someone near me has that same house in White. Not sure on his finishes though.

Given your locating guessing some oil money???Heard there's a lot of guys buying fish houses to live in out your way. If that's the case if you gotta live in the thing the bigger the better! rebel102285
NO "Oil" money involved here. Ive worked the oilfield jobs before but I am a a Trust Officer at a bank. Ive owned a couple of companies here that have had oilfield ties, and recently sold my "man-camp" and have a bit of liquidity that i could put to good use. I sold my last ice castle, a 2010 24 + 3v to a guy to live in and with the carsella shack i will have $9500 into it with full tongue and groove cedar and a 30k btu suburban forced air furnace---- should be easy to flip for what ive got into it if not make a grand or two. Bullwinkled
My brother just got the skin on an all aluminum fifth wheel he has built from scratch. He took all pictures with film so I will post build pics when he gets them developed and digitized. He is using electric jacks tandem axles that are pinned in place that he salvaged off his previous build which used air bag lift, was a standard wheelhouse but way to heavy. fishNcrappie
I just bought ice castles 5th wheel fish house. It's still in production tho. Made some changes to it...ie...2 feet longer(8x30), sky lights, changed U-shape dinette to just regular 48", more 110/12v plugins...getting anxious to see it!! We also do alot of camping during summer, that's reason I went so big.
