Camera Panners

I just purchased a vexilar scout 1000 and have never used a camera before. Have any of you used a electric panner. I see Aqua View has a mopod 3 and marcum also has one. I'm looking for some advice if they are worth the money or not

I think they are worth it. Makes it easy to move the camera farther away, and of course easier to control and adjust. My kid likes looking at his bait, then panning over and looking at my bait when I have a fish on the flasher. I think it's one of those things where once you have it you'll wish you would have got it sooner. I use the Marcum panner, have never used the AV Mopod.

Well worth the money if you like to look around under the ice. Moving by hand can be a pain. I have the Marcum also.

I have the Aqua Vu MOpod 3. It is worth it! Push the remote button & you can check yours & your buddys holes. If a fish swims by, just turn the camera with a push of a button. It would be hard to fish with it now!

The Marcum panners are pretty hard to beat, now they even come right in the box with the 625 Marcum cameras otherwise $50.

I have an Aqua Vu. I always use it once and the put it away for the year because they are an extra PIA. You almost have to have an extra hole to put them down because they tangle the line in the hole you're using. I always wondered about drilling a hole outside right next to the middle of the house and dropping the camera there, they are remote controlled. (Is this another argument for 10 in holes?)

Gotta agree, well worth the money on this one. Works smooth and very space conscious.

I have both the Marcum panner and the AquaVu MoPod. They both work well, but I prefer a wireless remote for using it outside of the shack. The Marcum panner is a bit more compact for use in a porty though. I think the difference in price is only about $10 now also.

Does the Aqua Vu only run on 2 AA bateries? How good is the wireless remote? Can you use it inside the shack and have the camera outside.
