I think the 615 wolf licenses that are going on sale are the ones that were not purchased by the lottery winners before the deadline expired. I believe this sale is first come first served.
What? Why didn't they redraw? shocked

LOTTERY WINNERS MUST PURCHASE THEIR WOLF LICENSE BY OCTOBER 24 (A SEASON) AND NOVEMBER 15 (B AND C LICENSES). Unsold licenses will be available for sale on a first come, first served basis beginning at 12:00PM on October 29 for the A season and November 19 for the B and C seasons.

Unsold licenses will be available for sale to unsuccessful lottery applicants beginning at Noon on Oct. 29 for the A season and at Noon on Nov. 19 for the B and C seasons. An eligible person must apply individually and in person at an ELS agent location or individually through the ELS-internet.

Any remaining available licenses not purchased by unsuccessful applicants may then be sold to any eligible person on a first-come, first-served basis beginning at Noon on Nov. 21 for late season hunting and late season trapping.

I would think even the us postal service could get them anywhere in the state within 4 days!! And if you were an unsuccessful applicant, you'd have 7 days before season opened...heck, they could drive them out to you in your stand with that much time.

oops...6 days...and you can pretty much drive from one end of Mn to the other about 5 times in 6 days and still have time to sleep!

It looks like the percentage of successful applicants, who didn't purchase a license, is about the same percentage, as the bear hunter no-shows...(that is, of course, if there are about the same amount of late season over the counter license available)...have to wait and see on that one...

And I should have clarified even more as I'll be out of town starting Wednesday bowhunting Thursday and Friday before the actual rifle/wolf opener on Saturday. There in lies the problem. If I can simply go to an ELS agent and have it printed it solves the problem...that of course if I'm lucky enough to get a tag...
