Dyeing traps with paint mixture

I read some where that there is a way to dye traps by useing a mixture of paint( white, brown, black etc.)with gas or white gas mix. Does any one know the paint to gas ratio to use?

Be sure to use oil base paint, which is getting hard to find.

I know that you have to use an oil base. Just need to know the mixture ratio and what kind of gas. White gas or just unleaded. Thanks to delcecchi.. Jonny, you got any idea's dude?

Try about the consistency of water, and go from there.

Mineral spirits would work too.

I think you would be money ahead if you got a real trap dip. Or if you only have a few to spray paint them. If you are going for strictly predators don't worry about the dye and just wax. If new they need to be degreased.
