2012 NHL Draft

Draft Day 2 has arrived, Wild pick #46 in the 2nd round. They also hold picks 68,98,128,158, 188. Lately the Wild have been picking up some good talent in the 2nd round, many times trading up to get a guy they like. I wouldn't be surprised if they move their 3rd up for another 2nd rounder.

I think it's easier to teach a D-man to play defense than to it is to teach a D-man to play offense. Love the pick!

The paring of Dumba/Brodin has some REAL potential IMO.

The more I read about him the more I like, he's a leader, tons of skills and it sounds like a great attitude. I actually think he has to the skills to play next year, the Wild probably take a long look at him during camp. I doubt he is ready for full time NHL yet but he might be close.

I'm betting the Wild will move up a bit in the second round.

Dumba probably does needs at least another year before he moves up.

I also like when the guys on the NHL network are talking so much about Dumba's heart. Only bad part about the NHL is it typically takes a while to see these guys play in the bigs.

Wild pick Raphael Bussieres, no idea who he is but hey lets hope he turns into something. Not huge stats, 21 23 44 in 56 games.

Time to get off the computer and mow the lawn.

Yeah now it starts getting tough. One ranking has him at 57 and another article is saying he might go in the first round. He looks like a really good skater but kind of a banger. Makes it so much more of a dump shoot when these kids are drafted so young.

I like the Dumba pick but I'm not real crazy about rounds 2 and 3. But hey, I doubt I would have been that excited about Zucker after the drafted him.

Kind of have to watch some of these kids play and see how they develop. And who knows maybe they land a star late in the draft, like a Zetterberg in the 7th.

Dumba is a fiesty one for a little guy and all of the highlights of him that I have seen seem to be him laying guys out when they cross the blue line. Not sure if he'll be able to do that at the higher levels but I like how aggressive he is!

Just found this one too, if you like suicide checks and laying guys out you'll love this guy. I like him already!!!

Word on the street is next years draft is looking really good, lots of high end players. Should be fun, hopefully we aren't picking at the top again but then again we just might need one more young stud to turn the corner.
