battery charging

I run a 24 volt bow mount trolling motor, my batteries are deep cycle type battery's. I need a new charger for those, are the on board boat chargers made to charge a "deep cycle" battery. When you read the specifications it really does not say, it just says battery charger and the given amps that it puts out? Anyone with info or experience on this situation? Thanks

Actually, most on-board chargers are ideal for this application. Make sure you get a "smart" charger that incorporates at least three charging phases or cycles. Once you have an on-board, you wonder how you survived before.

I would not be without a onboard charger. get home from fishing and back the boat in the garage and plug it in and the batteries are ready for the next run.

what is a good on board charger that can charge 2 batteries and doesn't cost an arm and a leg?

We have a Minnkota/2 bank,just installed this spring,& 80-90% of the time they are fully charged by the time I get back to the dock.
