Please Help Me ID this Lure!

Hi,

A few years back I bought some older fishing lures that I repainted and refinished. In the lot of 30 lures or so I had this small minnow profile lure. It had a black and purple top, silver holographic sides, and a black kill spot. The bill was sort of an odd shape, maybe a tear drop? It dives 2-3 feet and suspends very nicely when you let up on it. Overall length of body is similar to a Shad Rap 5, so 5 cm or so.

No markings at all on it, but this thing is killer on catching bluegills and crappies off the dock. Got snagged by a 30" pike this weekend and snapped my Fireline instantly. I was mostly upset that I lost the lure. Can anyone take a stab at a lure identification here? Thanks in advance!

I don't think it's flicker shad, but it might be a Lindy Shadling. Thats just a guess. Maybe certified jumbo is right?

Keep 'em coming. I appreciate all the ideas. I have Flicker Shads, Lindy Shadlings, Crystal Minnows, and Wally Divers. This is smaller and thinner than most of those. For size reference, the lure just below that first pic is a Rapala Floater #9 (or knock-off it appears). I'm also attaching another pic below for size (see size of Rapala Shad Rap 5 in Firetiger near top).

Based on the age of everything else in the lot I bought, I would guess it was made between 1980 and 1995.

That's not a knock off Rapala. All the older ones had a white belly. I'm going to guess it is an old Daiwa crank and you are going to be out of luck unless you can come across one on feabay.

I think it is a Daiwa after checking through some sites. This is the bill shape of that lure. Thanks Suncruiser!!! Now I see they make a TD Shiner1051 SP, which is 5.4 cm long and suspends.

They also make a Daiwa 2" SC Shiner which suspends. I think the profile and belly hook is closer here. I am about 95% sure this is the lure I lost. Maybe it was a knock off or was from a previous generation, but its VERY close to the 2" SC. Now I can order some up!

My nephew has the exact same lure. It is a Walmart bargin bin lure. They are in a box with a bunch of other lures for like $1.50 each. Guaranteed.

Agreed, I have the exact same lure that I too picked up at walmart a couple years back.
