Now that sounds like the power of DSL. Do you have DSL internet service? DSL is more or less a dedicated and allocated service but depending on how it is setup or how new your local "hub" is DSL is basically still pretty much a shared by all resource from those who access and use in your area.

I have not stayed on top of how the BO2 servers are setup or what they consists of but it could be related to server load I guess but DSL will become faster later in the evening when your neighbors are not Youtubing or Netflixing as much.

I do have DSL, and I figured that was an option, but it is probably that 10pm the 12-15yo gamers that have nothing better to do then to play Bops2 every waken hour they arent in school as well?

Lol, you are correct and it could be a combo of or both the DSL and the gaming servers being freed up because they have to go to bed. Adults also.

I forgot to mention besides the evening streaming and surfing of non-gamers on DSL, gaming itself is a huge contributor on top of YouTubing and Netflixibg.

I would like to know why one game will be fine and the next will be terrible, as in getting killed as soon as you see somebody and only hearing one shot but kill cam shows them shooting half a clip.

Nevermind, they have diamond plating like the other guys.

Silly me, didn't change the camo once I prestiged when I gained my RPG challenges.

I like being the final kill cam in S&D, shooting a guy with my SMAW and having people say "WTH?? A diamond SMAW?? Who does that??"

and the pistols and SMG's and pretty much everything else except the weapons that are suppose to have a good range. the last few days regular core games have been almost impossible to get into a fair game.

I think they are about right, personally. I do think the SMG's have too much range, and they pistols too. I think the snipers are overpowered as well, there's been some pretty bad one shot kills lately. Especially when they start doing that sweeping thing (not talking about quick scoping, which is lame as well).

I have played hard core since Black Ops 1 came out. I can honestly say, I have never even played 1 game of regular core on Black Ops 2

Do you guys think that it could possibly be my modem/router combination causing some of my problems with this game? I just use the actiontec unit that I got from my DSL provider.

hook, are you hard wired to the modem? Or are you running wireless? Try running a hard wire and see how your game play is. If you are running wireless grab a wireless laptop laptop set it next to the Xbox and do a speed test. See what your ping rate is, and your speeds. A ping higher then 50ms will effect the speed of the game. Down load speeds less the 6mb will effect the play of the game, up speeds less then 1mb will effect the play of the game. Try it wirelessly then run it again hard wired.

Last night the lag was very bad for me. I was dieing before the guy would even walk around the corner. But after getting into a different party, that helped a bit, and made it more playable.

I have the xbox hardwired to the router. My service is 5meg down and 512k up, the times that I have done a speed test it is usually right around there and I don't remember my ping being higher than 50. I was doing some reading and it sounded like some of the cheaper modem/routers could have a hard time keeping up with all the packets that online gaming requires and I am wondering if that could be part of my problem. Should I upgrade my service?
