Question

What do you guys use to pound out the races? I used a steel punch last year and scratched up the inside of the hub pretty good. All the instructions I have seen say use a brass punch. I can't find one anywhere. Suggestions?

I actually took an old race ground the outside edge down so it would slide in the hub. Use it for putting in new races. As far as brass punch, Napa or such place may have them. Make sure you wear safety glasses as pieces of the brass can fly off.

Do like Harvy says, you do not have to have a big hammer. place your punch on the inside lip of the race, hit it with a mid size hammer and work your way around the race, it will drive out eazy this way.
