Verizon phone

I have a Samsung phone on verison service, 2 days ago people I call or people that call me say that they can not hear me. There is no where on the phone to turn up the out going voice. There are two places to turn up the vol. but it doesn;t help the out going vol. Called verison on another phone and explaned the problem, they were no help. Anyone know what the problem is. Thanks ahead of time.

Two things to try, restart the phone and see if something is hanging up in it, also dial *228 and update the roaming.

A friend had the Samsung Fascinate and he had the same issue. Had to put it on speaker for me to hear him. He was about due for a new one so just put up with it for a month then got rid of it.

Sounds like you might have gotten moisture or dust where the mic is?

Then you sound garbled to people that you are calling.

I would try the speakerphone thing, see if people can hear you then, and if so, then you know it's the mic on the phone.

I had a phone replaced under warranty for that issue.

I took the phone back to a verizon outlet, the place where I thought the mic was isn;t the mic. There is a little hole in the base of the phone, opposite the hinge end that was plugged with something, This is the mic. The rep ran a small wire in the hole and blew some air in the hole and the phone works fine now.
