your simply not over fish grin

seriously though, I have a lowrance 235 that can barely read the bait, but if i jig it just right, it will flash once or twice. It will read fish if it reads bottom, true bottom that is.

edit: some things i have found wrong are...

1 transducer is not pointed straght down resulting in a bad reading

2 batterys are low (very common)

3 bad transducer (check by simply lifting the transducer, keep it in the water, and seeing if the depth changes on the screen)

4 no fish (probably the case)

Yep, check the gain.

Also try a horizontal jig instead of a vertical jig just to see if you are seeing it.

Make sure the transducer in not angled when in the water and that the ducer is clean on the bottom.

Check the plug in in the back of the unit also.

All that checks out, then off to Vexilar it goes.

Good Luck
