james_walleye
Well I've heard it twice now. It's rumored that the bengals are talking to the vikings about the 3 pick. They would give up their 2 first rounders and next years second. They like Richardson. These rumors came out before the details of the rams trade came out. I wonder if the price for the bengals to move to 3 might be upped by this. And lmit get over it. Players and coaches aren't going to throw games when they don't know if they will even see next season in purple to even see the possible rewards of what your implying. Why if your frazier would you try and toss a game when the difference between winning and losing a game or 2 could be his job. Would you sacrifice your job for the good of the company knowing whatever you did to get fired would better the company 3 years down the road? Complete delusion.... LMITOUT
Complete delusion.... The only delusion here is people like you begging for fifty more years of failure by ignoring the elephant in the room. Fans should have been down at Winter Park with torches and pitchforks after that Washington game and you know it. Apparently Zygi has set the bar high if it only takes three wins to keep your job. james_walleye
No fans weren't because everyone (except you) realizes its a rediculous thought to expect them to throw games for any reason. I can't even believe this conversation is going on. Players and coaches fighting for jobs, whether its here or elsewhere, and you expect them to lay down for future draft picks even though they might not be around to reap the rewards. How can you think it completely logical for a rookie 7th rounder to not make a play and intercept that pass and show he can make a play. Or for Toby Gerhart to not run the ball hard to prove he should get more touches in the future. I mean for absolute stupid, can you please be real for once. If your delusion had any creedance than everyone in the colt organization should be gone as well for winning 2 games down the stretch and risking losing Andrew Luck. LMITOUT
Players and coaches fighting for jobs, It was sure nice of them to start fighting for their jobs at the end of the season. Get real and try not to be so naive about the ineptitude of this team.

Ybone
You play to win the game. There wouldn't be much point to the last 5 or 6 games of the season if teams started laying down trying for better draft choices. The fans deserve better than that. If you want the top draft choice then you should earn it by having the worst team in the league not by throwing games.
LMITOUT
The fans deserve better than that. Yes, they do, and they're not getting any satisfaction from this organization. A meaningless win against Washington is something to be happy about? Puhlease.I'm thinking two future 1st rounders and a 2nd would make fans that understand the game feel a whole lot better than watching some scrubs beat another inept team in a season that was lost the moment Leslie made the decision to bring McNabb to town.Whatever. Have fun with your shiny new left tackle and a bunch of guys that "had something to prove" against a horrible team in week #16. LOL
james_walleye
Man your thought process is so far out in left field on this one...LOL. How warped a mind do you have to have to actually believe these guys are going to throw games for better draft picks when it may cost them their job and how many millions of $$. The transparency in your bit is mighty glaring. Go find an NDSU thread and talk some smart Division 1AA football with someone....
LMITOUT
Go find an NDSU thread and talk some smart Division 1AA football with someone.... You mean with winners? That would be refreshing compared to talking about this factory of sadness and people that encourage it.
alleyes
James, you are so right about Richard Cranium. In his world, if the team he WATCHES wins, that makes him a winner. LOL! pathetic...
Ybone
If you spend good money for a ticket and everything else that goes with it you expect the teams to try and win, so do the networks and sponsers televising the game. I can't imagine the NFL or any sports league surviving if teams tried to lose. It's also against the law to throw games.
james_walleye
Yes lmit, go find that thread please and leave all of us morons alone to discuss the the bust Percy Harvin and the next 50 years of futility.

LMITOUT
You're absolutely right. You guys keep doing what you've been doing since it's been working so well all these years. Hutchinson, Herrera, and Griffin all got their pink slips today. Some extra draft picks would sure come in handy right about now...
james_walleye
I hear u just got a phone call from the browns. They think your short suiting yourself as a hotspot outdoors prostaffer and would like to hire you and implement your brilliant plan of throwing games at the end of the 2012 season because a team might want to trade up to the 2 spot next year and the 4 spot might not be bad enough. Of course you would have to convince colt mccoy that intentionally performing like sh@? will help the team in 2014 even though the browns will cut him in 2013 for his bad performance. YiGGiN4SLoBS
If they got rid of hutch and herrera then they are clearly going to take Kalil and move johnson to guard. They must be targeting someone on the oline in FA too i would think.I agree that u should not "throw" games unpurpose. There was no way to know at the time that RGIII would be flying up the draft board as fast as he did when we played the redskins. The only talk around that time was sucking for luck, and we werent gonna get the #1 pick.BUT, there is just no way in hell that Adrian Peterson, the face of the franchise, the man you just gave an absurd amount of money too, should have been playing in that game.... That was insane IMO. I was muttering at the TV every single time he touched the ball in that game and almost starting laughing when he got hurt. It served the vikings right. He doesnt need MORE reps and more abuse in a meaningless game at the end of season and he was coming off injury already anyway. If anything, toby needed the reps. Why they didnt sit him out is beyond me. Now he'll probably never be the same. THis team needs multiple playmakers at multiple positions... I hope the bengals are dumb enough to trade us another kings ransome for the 3 pick
Musky Buck
Who'd we just lose, Hutchinson, Griffin, and somebody else, we have plenty of needs in the drafting dept.
PierBridge
It was definitely a disaster winning that game and yes we should have tanked it. Also teams in the past including this year have basically thrown in the towel to get a better draft position. It's not that insane to suggest it either, particularly this year if you were paying attention. Now that the dream of getting a franchise Elite QB or receiver is over with the release of half of our O_Line. The rebuilding will be years to infinity now. But at least we may or may not be set at left tackle.... I'll tell you the funniest most insane thing mentioned in this entire thread is James Cincinnati fantasy land sceniro... Richardson? LOL~
james_walleye
MY fantasyland scenario?? Lol. Sorry buddy, that came from 2 different websites I was reading. Just relaying what I read. Maybe u should pay more attention to where it is looking like Richardson could go.....Remember junkson? Nuf said lol. Credibility dead... YiGGiN4SLoBS
I think the vikes are in a good position to trade down and still get a good tackle, be it Kalil or someone else. The top two QB's are off the board, but any team that actually has a QB already and needs a different position-WR, CB ect. will be willing to trade into the vikes spot to make sure they get their guy.I think the vikes are gonna be entertaining some pretty good offers to trade down and i hope they do. I would be much more comfortable trading down, even if its just a couple spots, and getting another pick or two then taking a tackle.
