Just Curious What you " Need " To Have On Any // All Trips .. For Me I Can Not Go Fishing Without My Digital Camera .. I Have A Couple Times Forgot It.. Not Happy .. Lake Map Is Nice To Scan .. Depth Finder I Just Glance At To Find My Depth And Structure Comparing With The Map .. I Don't Sit And Stare At The Sonar Screen To Fish .. Lake Map.. Depth .. Structure.. I'm Set .. I Have 4 Shoe Boxes Full Of Fishing Pictures Throughout My Fishing Expeditions .. From Young Till Now .. The Boxes Are Big .. I Wear Size #14 Snow// Mud Stompin' Boot.. Need To try And Post Some Pics On Here.. Is It Easy ?? .. Is There A Spot To Check For Instructions .. Have A Good One ..

Flasher, hands down.

GPS, sure it's nice, but honestly how difficult is it to look at a lake map prior to your outing, then figuring out a game plan?

Camera... I had an old camera but was given a nice new olympus tough a few years back, holy cow is that thing great! I use it for underwater photos, ice fishing photos, but the most practical thing I've used it for is my little trout maps (take photos of paths, roads, parking areas, where not to try to cross the creek etc etc).

If your goal is to be more successful on ice, I'd say the flasher is my most important tool. I do have gps, and use it, but if i left it at home I would not turn around to grab it. Last week, on the other hand, I drove from my cabin to Blaine to grab my flasher.
