Wish-I-Were-Fishn
Is a 2gb data plan enough on a smartphone? Looking to re-up my 2 yr. Commitment and 2gb is the standard plan now. I use wifi everywhere I can and have never gotten close to 2gb yet.
nofishfisherman
If you've never gone over 2gb in the past then you'll probably be alright. It really will depend on what you do with the phone. If you stream Pandora or Netflix or other heavy content like that then 2gb might not be enough.
upnorth
Like posted prior, data usage is subjective. I have a 2gb. and am fine with it. But there are those that couldn't come close to staying under 2gb. All depends on what you want to do with it. Most cases they will let you start at 2gb and if you are habitually going over, they will let you upgrade that portion of your plan.
CAMAN
I couldn't go 3 days with a 2gb plan! I'm only 9 days into my cycle and already have over 6gb. But I don't have many WiFi connections to choose from and my phone is my main source of internet whether it be directly through it or tethered. Dragonsm
I live on my iPhone....and 2 gb is fineI use wifi at home and work and I am good. Set your phone up for mail to manually push it. That solves quite a bit on the data up/download.
Wish-I-Were-Fishn
Just made the 2 year commitment. We have four lines, 1000 mins shared talk, unlimited text, and 2gb data per line. Total cost is only $100 month. Doesn't include any phone upgrades, but after doing the math it was the best way to go for me.
