Wonder why it works for my phone, when I have a very similar OS and probably very similar browser as you Darren?

PI what are you using? Each version of droid has its browser version and to a certain extent even manufacturers from what I found in a real brief search.

I am using browser 2.3.3. (this will be updated when your phone is updated to OS 2.3.3 Gingerbread)

According to a Froyo Android 2.2, the browswer started to be able to upload files via a browswer when 2.2 froyo was released.

The 2.3.3 is probably the difference. I can upload to Pbucket and FB fine, but HSO just doesn't even open a new window when you hit browse.

In a lot of cases what the say will work will work, but not everywhere.

To check your browser version go to settings, applications, manage apps, all, browser, and it will tell you the version there.

Thunderbolt with 2.3.4. Not able either. Any reason why some can and some can't. I have tried everything with no success. And I wil not give up my phone either!! Will just have to use pbucket I guess.

Clear cache no worky for me. Tried "clear all" as well. Same result.

Not that i really care because PB is easy enough, but I'm curious so I'm going to try Opera Mini.

Well that sorta works. I was able to choose a file to upload, but only via the SD card, no gallery option. That's fine, but there is no thumbnail preview and i don't name my photos, so a real PITA to figure out which photo to upload.

On a side note, Opera seems to work a bit faster on this site, and it handles the reply text box much easier. It will actually self center so you can see what you are typing unlike the stock browser which when I'm trying to type a post here I sometimes want to throw my phone into a brick wall.

Also no typing lag on Opera, on the stock browser i could be a full word ahead of what I was seeing when i was typing. Cool

Hmmmm....I was thinking of trying the opera mini, you make a good case for it DTro!

I haven't tried Opera on this platform but didn't care for it on the Blackberry. I wouldn't recommend this new Firefox and Dolphin never impressed me either. Seem to always end up back at the stock browser.

Playing around again today. Cursor has to be in the text box when you click on the add photo icon or it ends up in the frozen screen.
