Nils / Tanaka service - where?

I have been enjoying my auger for over a year now with the ultra light weight and high speed, but dreading the day I might need service. the day has come. the rope broke and I cant seem to get it fixed, anywhere were I can take it to get fixed?

and this is the reason i'll never buy a nils.

I don't get this comment. I looked on Tanaka's webpage and they have a number of dealers/service centers in Minnesota, particularly the metro. Seems to me that if someone has a problem with the powerhead they can bring it to a local authorized facility and have it serviced. I don't own one, but have several friends that run the Nils. It is a very nice auger and the engines are solid.

Well, the small engine repair a few blocks from my house fixed it for me cheap!

they were loving just to see a tanaka, they say they very seldom get to work on one because they are so well built they rarely need servicing!

I wouldn't trade it for 3 of anything else lol!

There are tons of Tanaka service centers around the state. Many are small engine shops in your community and will be authorized warranty centers for your Nils engine. When I needed to get mine worked on it was a quick turn around with the parts I needed being shipped from Seattle.
