Thanks got it. I didn't have any problems with mine flicking on and off. It was just the gain was way to sensitive, I don't like my bait to be shown so big on the screen. It reminded me too much of a vexilar with that big blob. Did you notice anything like that? Did anyone get a cord to connect there unit to a computer?

the Marcum rep at the show said the unit had the USB "capability" for future use in downloading information but that it was not in use yet.

Just a quick update, got out with the lx7 again today and the problem with the bottom and my bait flickering off for about 1/2 second or so, every so often, was gone. Maybe having a good overnight charge on the battery had something to do with it but it says the battery comes fully charged and ready to fish. Still had the issue with the auto range going to 40' when fishing in 13' and the flasher display reading 3 feet less when the flasher mode is used without one of the vertical displays. I did have the center number display in the flasher completely disappear when changing the range and had to turn the unit off to get it back.

After today the lx7 is starting to grow on me more. You sure don't get the thin lines like the lx5, it reminds me more of the ice-55 with the thicker lines.

Thanks for the info. Did you get your lx-7 yet?

No i have not received my unit yet, I have been in contact with GM and honestly they cannot give me an answer either. They said they have been in contact with Marcum and could only tell me they were waiting on a response back from Marcum. All i know is it has not been shipped and i have no answer as to when.

The way I understand it.......The target sensitivity adjusts the size of your "marks" without increasing gain. This eliminates clutter you would normally pick up from micro organizms in the water.

So is the "Sensitivity" button actually the "Gain" button? there is nothing labeled "Gain" in the menu or front panel buttons.

I emailed marcum about my owners manual missing and this was there response.

Hi There,

Thanks for your recent purchase of an LX-7. The functions of the LX-7 are likely to change as updates become available, so we did not print manuals for them, but instead opted to make them available on-line, where changes can easily be made. This has become standard for most electronic devices, and has been well received by our customers so far.

You can view/download/print all of our User’s Guides here: Marcum manuals

Thanks again and have a great ice season,

Anyone get their LX-7 from Gander Mountain yet? I am thinking about canceling my order after they missed thier own delivery date and have not responded to multiple e-mails asking for a status update. I was excited about saving $100, but at this point I would rather spend the extra money at a store that places value on customer service.

I'm in the same boat as your are. I have called gander twice and got the same story from them. If the third time is not the charm I will cancel and to make matters worse they already took the money out of my account, which is something they weren't supposed to do unless item had shipped.

Regular customer service never knew what was going on but the dropship department did. I did not get a tracking # but the email said marcum would ship it today so i would imagine marcum would have the shipping info. Sorry you had to cancel but i couldnt bring myself to cancel with that kind of savings.

I received the email directly from the manager of the department that said marcum contacted them and that it would ship today from marcum and that i would receive it by friday. That is way more concrete than any info i have received so far. Ill cross my fingers and give you an update if i hear more.

*update* I guess all you need to do is give them a little motivation and you'll get what you want. I just got an email that sounds pretty promising that my order has been shipped already. Guess I'll cross my fingers also and see what happens even though I did mention to them that I wanted to cancel my order anyways.

Agree with Jimmy on every point and also had an lx-5 in the same house. The screen needs a little higher resolution and the sensitivity needs finer increments. Also, even in the owners manual, which you get on line, it does not state what target sensitivity is for. It worked best for me with target sensitivity on 0. It took me a while to get the settings right, but I am happy with it. I really liked the side-by-side display of vertical zoom and graph windows. The battery lasted 10 hours no problem. It was great seeing fish come off the bottom after the jig and was amazing to see that some colors / jig styles simply could not draw them up but time after time others did.

Reeds is one of the worse stores out there IMO. No wonder some of you guy's are waiting so long.

I ordered and received a brand new LX-5 Transducer that is cracked down the side like it got dropped a few times. Emailed them twice now in the past 3-4 days with no response yet.

It's the first time I've ever ordered anything from them and probably the last, they didn't make a good impression on me.

    • It’s done automatically.  You might need an actual person to clear that log in stuff up.   Trash your laptop history if you haven’t tried that already.
    • 😂 yea pretty amazing how b o o b i e s gets flagged, but they can't respond or tell me why I  can't get logged in here on my laptop but I can on my cellular  😪
    • I grilled some brats yesterday, maybe next weekend will the next round...
    • You got word censored cuz you said        B o o b ies….. haha.   Yeah, no… grilling is on hiatus for a bit.
    • Chicken mine,  melded in Mccormick poultry seasoning for 24 hours.  Grill will get a break till the frigid temps go away!
    • we had some nice weather yesterday and this conundrum was driving me crazy  so I drove up to the house to take another look. I got a bunch of goodies via ups yesterday (cables,  winch ratchet parts, handles, leaf springs etc).   I wanted to make sure the new leaf springs I got fit. I got everything laid out and ready to go. Will be busy this weekend with kids stuff and too cold to fish anyway, but I will try to get back up there again next weekend and get it done. I don't think it will be bad once I get it lifted up.    For anyone in the google verse, the leaf springs are 4 leafs and measure 25 1/4" eye  to eye per Yetti. I didnt want to pay their markup so just got something else comparable rated for the same weight.   I am a first time wheel house owner, this is all new to me. My house didn't come with any handles for the rear cables? I was told this week by someone in the industry that cordless drills do not have enough brake to lower it slow enough and it can damage the cables and the ratchets in the winches.  I put on a handle last night and it is 100% better than using a drill, unfortatenly I found out the hard way lol and will only use the ICNutz to raise the house now.
    • I haven’t done any leaf springs for a long time and I can’t completely see the connections in your pics BUT I I’d be rounding up: PB Blaster, torch, 3 lb hammer, chisel, cut off tool, breaker bar, Jack stands or blocks.   This kind of stuff usually isn’t the easiest.   I would think you would be able to get at what you need by keeping the house up with Jack stands and getting the pressure off that suspension, then attack the hardware.  But again, I don’t feel like I can see everything going on there.
    • reviving an old thread due to running into the same issue with the same year of house. not expecting anything from yetti and I already have replacement parts ordered and on the way.   I am looking for some input or feedback on how to replace the leaf springs themselves.    If I jack the house up and remove the tire, is it possible to pivot the axel assembly low enough to get to the other end of the leaf spring and remove that one bolt?   Or do I have to remove the entire pivot arm to get to it? Then I also have to factor in brake wire as well then. What a mess   My house is currently an hour away from my home at a relatives, going to go back up and look it over again and try to figure out a game plan.           Above pic is with house lowered on ice, the other end of that leaf is what I need to get to.   above pic is side that middle bolt broke and bottom 2 leafs fell out here is other side that didnt break but you can see bottom half of leaf already did but atleast bolt is still in there here is hub assembly in my garage with house lowered and tires off when I put new tires on it a couple months ago. hopefully I can raise house high enough that it can drop down far enough and not snap brake cable there so I can get to that other end of the leaf spring.
