Sheephead Slayer
Anyone know why no matter what screen selection I choose I can not see the words on the side of screen during news or sports? I have 3 T.V's like this and it drives me nuts! Thanks
Jim43
Need to find on your remote where to turn off the overscan default setting. I have a 32" Vizio 1080P and have the problem. Trouble with it is I can`t find anywhere in the menu where to turn it off. My other TV`s were easy to find it.
Whoaru99
Need to change the aspect ratio from zoom or fill to full or something similar.Dunno what the button is called on the Vizio, but on my Panasonic it's just a button called "Aspect" on the remote control. CAMAN
Sheephead - We may need more info, like Cable or Satellite, what kind of TV(Flatscreen/Tube) etc...My Brother In-Law had this same problem a few weeks ago. I tried every setting in his TV and nothing changed it. I then started looking into the settings on his cable box (Mediacom), I tried every setting I could on that and it still didn't change. Finally I decided to unplug the cable box and let it sit for a few minutes. Plugged it back in, let it go through its startup process and it works perfectly now. Don't know if his 1 year old was playing with the remote and messed with it or the cable box needed an reset/update but all is good now. highlife4me
If you have Dish Network you can use the FORMAT button on the lower left of the remote.
SkunkedAgain
I agree with others that it's likely the aspect ratio setting, either on your cable/satellite box or on your TVs. Read the manuals for both and you'll find out how to adjust them.
