USED MOTOR OIL

Recommended Posts

I think my dad's business is required to take it no matter what!

It really upsets me, because one guy brought in TWENTY-SEVEN gallon jugs of oil for us to dispose of, and I had to empty them! He just left them by the door and drove off.

But yes, I'm pretty sure we legally can't say "no."

If it is contaminated in anyway shops do not have to take it. Contamination can be water, leaves, etc....

We run into that every once in a while. We cannot accept anything with water or coolant because we use the used oil in a furnace. We also have run into used oil with so much debris that it plugs the drain buckets. We had one one time that the customer filled the bottles with old pills then filled them with oil. We had half a drain bucket filled with old pills!
