Mike Modano is my favorite hockey player of all time.

Yep, watching him skate around in that North Stars jersey last year reminded me a whole lot of how much I hate Norm Green and how much I loved watching the North Stars.

Wasn't Norm a standup guy! With a little more time and money spent, we could have had Lord Stanley stay in Bloomington for an offseason. Dooohhhh, it just makes me mad all over again.

Back to Modano, it was hard not to like him. Those feelings faded over time though. Hats off to his 21 year career!

Man, seems like only yesterday he'd show up and play beach volleyball with us out at Big Island on Lake Minnetonka. He was just a 19 year old kid then...but then again, so was I. Where has the time gone...?
