lawdog
Go ahead Brad, pass two cars on pit road everytime you pit, we'll just pretend we don't notice... is this the WWE now? What the #*^$&(! was going on with that? Kenseth passes Gordon who's going pit road speed and then Brad K. comes out of his pit and blasts by both of them to get out front on the last stop and drive away for the win. You can say he did it in between speed lines, but since when can you pass cars under caution regardless of the speed? What a screwy deal! LMITOUT
You can say he did it in between speed lines, but since when can you pass cars under caution regardless of the speed? ?You can pass all the cars you want on pit road. He was just taking advantage of the location of the timing lines as do others if they want to risk it. I thought he was going to get busted but they had it figured out and the others played it safe and lost. The blue deuce is on quite a roll and if they can keep it up they'll be a force in the Chase. HOF#13
All the teams use those timing lines to their advantage when they can, it's just that this race it was so obvious. I do think NASCAR could find a better way to do it than timing lines though. In this day and age of technology they have to use timing lines? All the cars have scoring transponders on them...you mean to tell me that they could not use those (with GPS technology) to keep track of a cars speed on pit road, that would fix what we saw Saturday night. lawdog
You can pass all the cars you want on pit road. REALLY??? Under caution you can just go pass all the cars you want? [PoorWordUsage]...
LMITOUT
Of course. In the article I read about the race it said that NASCAR is already looking into adding more timing lines on Bristol's pit road. Sounds like there aren't very many at Bristol and it allows for drivers to do the speed up/slow down thing and take advantage of that. When you think about it, it's funny that more haven't really exploited this situation in the past.
harvey lee
NASCAR does as they please.Yes, it is getting just like the WWE.Some get fines and others get nothing or next to no fine.Little Busch boy can just about do as he pleases as NASCAR likes the controversy with him as it draws to the TV and the race crowd. That will only last so long.

harvey lee
Yes, it did with Sr but it still does not make it right and proves my point.NASCAR does as they please. Rules are only there if they choose to use them and enforce them.
LMITOUT
I'm right with you when it comes to NASCAR's wishy washy decisions, but in this case nobody broke any rules.
