Where can I find a clearer lake?

Lately, all the lakes I've been hitting up have been nothing but pea soup or beef stew. I'm tired of these types of lakes and would like to hit up a more clear lake...anywhere between Chisago and Fairbault, east of Minnetonka and west of the border. Any ideas?

Square lake east of Hugo is crystal clear, Big Carnelian is about a mile from there and is also very clear. They are close to the area you mentioned. I have never fished Square for Bass so I am not sure how it is, but I have had good luck on Big Carnelian.

Before I read all your posts, ended up going to Forest Lake on a whim. Was pretty clear and no where near as murky as the previous lakes. The day before I was in Fairbault on Cedar Lake and that lake was pretty murky. Compared to Forest Lake, that was a huge difference.

I've been to Square lake before and that lake is scary clear...

Calhoun was oddly green 2 weeks ago, but that might have been the wind. Pulaski and Charlotte out by Buffalo. Charlotte is always 15+ clarity with epic weedlines. One of the worst launches I've seen, but totally worth it. Pulaski is another incredible lake. A little more tapered, but the docks and cut stumps on the north end are a gimme.

Good luck!

Pulaski's waters are really, really green this year, slow fishing, not many bass in there anyways.

Really? I can't seem to keep the things off. Especially in Little Pulaski on the far end. They're everywhere. Back in July my buddy Zeke's first two fish went a combined 9lbs 3oz. I really like 3.5inch tubes on that lake at anything rocky or anything weird on a dock like wheels.
