First day back at work after my trip out west. I was disappointed in the numbers of elk we found in Yellowstone and the Tetons. Only found one group of bulls, three total in one of the big meadows in Yellowstone on our last morning there.

The biggest one was still in velvet, and was a long way out. This is the best I could get with my Lumix FZ40 camera. I have a few closer shots, but the other elk kept standing in the way or the big guy wouldn't turn to show his antlers really well.
