hi guys

I live around the twin cities and I was wondering if anyone has any hunting land they would lease for squirrel hunting. Im looking around to pay 500 for the season if anyone has any or maybe just for a day hunt. Let me know. Thanks

You should not have to pay for squirrel hunting access. Head south toward Faribault and ask some rural folks who own large oak woods. Be very careful when shooting. Never shoot into nests. Pan fried squirrel is pretty fine stuff.

In the old days (huh oh, here it comes) MY grampa would give me 7 .22 shells and send me out. The limit was 7 squirrels and I had to come home with seven dead head-shot squirrels.

There are lots of little tricks to squirrel hunting and it CAN make you a better hunter and woodsman.

Take your time. Shoot carefully. Enjoy the woods in the fall.

If no one replies I would start knocking on doors, I know it's awhile to wait but once deer season ends a lot of landowners will let you come through free of charge.

I love hunting squirrels, Im just glad that I know a farmer thats a hour drive north of me that lets me hunt it when ever I want although we only hunt there the first month and wait again until the gun season is over before we step foot on his place.

Gotta keep the land owner happy so he will let you hunt his land.
