Windy City Walleye Hunter
Just back from another successful fishing trip to Cass Lake, MN and I seem to have quite a bit of northern pike in the freezer, I also have quite a bit of perch from last year but I already know how to cook those! LOLI am looking for some suggestions on pike recipies. Baked, pan fried, broiled, deep fried, just send me your favorites so I can try them. Thanks in advance!Windy

Windy City Walleye Hunter
Thanks guys, keep those recipies coming. Horseradish sounds like one to try. I have already done the poor mans lobster and it is a hit but I am guessing you could dip my boat shoe in melted butter and garlic and it would not taste too bad! dfv87
A shoe normally needs to be marinated well before boiling it though. Then yes it can be apetizing serve with drawn garlic butter...
reinhard1
in my opinion the northern pike is the best tasting fish out there once you learn to take that Y bone out. i use the smaller pike not only for great fish patties, and pickled gems, but baked with butter it's great as well. the above reciepe just adds to this great fish as far as flavor. good luck.
