Tonight's Storm Shots

There was a nice light show going on in a cloud north of Le Sueur this evening so I ran out with the camera to see if I could capture some electricity. All of these shots are facing the Twin Cities from the south west. I do have a tri-pod somewhere in the house that I will need to start using.

great photos! you must have a steady hand, I couldn't do it without my tripod or my window clamp pod. nice storm structure too with that shelf cloud. I was watching the same storm from st. Cloud to buffalo lake.

That really was a heckuva light show. Good captures.

I should have gotten more but the mosquito's were so bad I just couldn't take it anymore. There was a 5 minute period where the lightning was non-stop with streaks across the leading edge of the shelf cloud.

After looking back through these, I noticed in #6 the lightning was in the shape of a wolf's head turned and looking away.

There's talk of more storms tonight and I found my tri-pod.
