With iCast currently going on in Vegas we should see some exciting new product on the web in a few hours. I did see quantum has a new bait caster l out called the EXO PT baitcaster that only weighs 5.9 ounces. That sweet and expensive

Abu Garcia has the new MGX reel that weighs 5.4

I'm very interested on getting my hands on one of the new Daiwa T3's though.

Shimano seems to have dropped the ball and basically just rebadged their current reels

Tackle Tour also has some great info on the new products that are being unveiled at ICAST. Any thoughts on the new Chronarch E?

The shimano G reels don't seem a whole lot different than the E reels. A little lighter. The chronarch looks to be aiming at the old curado pricepoint. I expected more but have faith in shimano. They make the best baitcasters IMO.

Shimano didn't really come out with anything new. What they did was re-arrange their current lineup. The new Chronarchs are just Curado E's with new paint and knobs. And now the new Curado's are just a Caenen with a metal frame. Daiwa came out with some new innovative stuff. Not cheap, but most of Daiwa's good stuff starts at $200+.
