gamberc, Looks like you have the same setup as my UltraShack does. I have two fold down bunks on one side that fold out of the way so I can still drive my wheeler in for transport when needed. Also I can leave the bottom bunk down for sitting on instead of chairs if thats your preferance. I will go out and snap a few pics tomorrow of how its attached to the wall and how it hangs. I think this will get you going in the right direction. I always have trouble sending pics but could e-mail them to you if you want to give me a call218-686-1135. If you don't have a fan to circulate the heated air you may want to consider fold up bunks from each side as the top one is usually the hot one. I know it doesn't leave any room in the middle with both bunks down but then again there for sleeping ain't they?

I plan on using cots with mattresses instead of atteached bunks in my new to be converted RV trailer. Been using cots for years in my permanent house. I put them in my truck during the day so they are out of the way.

I bought my cots a FF!

One of my buddys has this situation in his wheelhouse. I really like his idea. But depending on how much you use that back door. His way he doesnt use it very often but can use it. He basically made a rectangle out of 2X2s and then mounted like a rail on the sides of the house so that the bunk can sit on them and he can accomodate for 4 bunks now. If you are interested I can draw you up a little diagram on cad or something. Is that your only door?

Cots... put them in the truck is the best idea. You can never have enough room. We use them also and it works slick. Table can then be set up during the day for food, snacks, supplies, cribbage board, cocktails...

I have a 30" wide storage box in the front of my wheel house that doubles as a bunk with a 30" wide matress on it. Anyone that stays with me brings his own cot and the cots go in the pickups during the day. At night we keep only the minimal fishing equipment inside and the rest goes into the pickup to give us mmore room. The problem is that everyone thinks they need three tackle boxes, a flasher and an AquaVu inside at the same time. I had one guy that had stuff piled two feet high and six feet long along a wall at one time. He wasn't happy when I told him to get everything except what he needed "right now" outside into the pickup. It seems like someone always sets a box or something over one of the holes at night and wonders why that hole freezes over night. crazy
