Finding Fish once the sun is high in the Sky....ATTENTION JUAN GRANDE

Juan Grande asked about finding fish after the shallow morning bite ends.

Lets share some tactics that can be used for catching bass when the sun climbs high in the sky and it gets hot.

I start pounding Docks and the thickest pads and slop I can find.

When the sun climbs high bass will bury themselves in cover or get under docks and boat lifts.

As the water warms fish will move to deep weed lines as well.

But there are fish to be caught up shallow all summer.

What do you do?

As the weeds get more matured deep weedlines with a drop shot or shakey head. Always a topwater even on blue bird days. According to Uncle Homer if you are getting bubbles to float from your topwater action it is a good time to fish it no matter what the skys are. I have caught some nice fish on that in the middle of a sunny day.

Good Fishing!

I love my senkos or texas rigs. Started doing some football jig with creatures a bit last year over deeper rocks. I always start shallow and work my way deeper. Then again. I never catch a ton of fish or consider myself a great angler.

For me thats going to depend on a lot of things. Water clarity, structure and cover available. As many know, I like looking deep. So I would do my best to find deep rock. If that didnt work, I too will grind it out in the thickest nastiest stuff I can find.
