Night Carpin question?

Recommended Posts

I have noticed some people out doing some bow fishing for carp at night this spring. I am curious if anybody knows how successful these guys are at it. I was wondering how many fish they can get in an outing?

I want to thank those people for doing it. I hope they are getting a mess of them. I know we will never eliminate them completely, but it would be nice to keep the population in check.

It's awesome! When it's good you can shoot carp as fast as you can fling an arrow, reel it in, remove the fish, knock, draw, and refling! Carp under the lights at night tend to much "dumber" than they are during the day.

I go once a week or so with some friends. Ive been out on a "slow" night and left the lake with 12-15 and only taken "bigger fish." one of us 3 will only draw the bow for a fish over 30 on a particular night.

Eat what you can. Find a farmer who'll take them. Mink farmers like em. Toss em in the trash. Just don't leave them on the shore, toss em in a ditch or put em back after you pull the arrow out.

Just figure it out before the shoot. It's just good to get em out of the lakes and rivers. cool
