Watching the news I see its 88 degrees in Minneapolis while it barley hit 50 in Carlton.

Wonder if my apple trees will bloom this year

I left Walker yesterday at noon and we had the heater on in the truck, switched to AC when it got warm, stopped in Rice for gas and just about passed out from the humidity. Crazy weather this year for sure.

I am not sure what is worse. Leaving the cold to get knocked over with humidity or having to live in the ice box. Now if we could just slow the wind down a notch or two!

my apple,plum, and pear trees all have bloomed and pretty much done. to live up in the northcountry would be a dream. left there in 1972. realy dont need air conditioning if you live in duluth. here in andover i live in a nice community and have great neighbors. plus both my daughters live in prior lake with the grandkids. it's tough to move. i realy miss it up there and every trip i make is enjoyable regardless of the weather. my parents,brother and sister still live in duluth. good luck.

My apple and plum trees have bloomed and are already showing which ones will have fruit.

I will also say that I would gladly trade my house in the cities for a place up north.

Well, our crabapple was able to dodge a couple of late frosts during its flowering stage. It's almost done now, and looks like it'll be setting fruit. Gotta love those bumblebees!

Our two apple trees are in full bloom right now. now to keep my eye out for some Ceder Waxwings.

down here in andover i got apples the size of a nickle and cherries [green yet] the size of a dime. just like the title of the thread says. good luck.

A couple days ago we had 106 and today was almost 40 degrees colder.

So far up here this is been a slow starting spring/summer. Rare has been the day it hit 70 degrees.

I took a drive into Duluth yesterday and realized that most everything was blooming like the lilacs and fruit trees. When I was up at Crane Lake they were doing the same. I really thought they were suppose to be a zone or 2 away from us
