Dog Days of Summer

I was just curious what everyone's go to style for catching bass in the dog days of summer was. Most of the free time i have is during this time, and I often struggle to catch much during the hot days of summer.

Either cover water while fishing shallow topwater. or target deep weed edges or deep structure with cranks and then a vertical presentation.

I switch to some late evening to night fishing under the moonlight.

early morning and late evening fishing shallow flats with topwaters can be good, and it's an awful lot of fun!

Wake up early and fish inside weed edges/lily pads/shallow weed beds with a topwater or a texas-rigged worm as the sun comes up. Then when the sun is overhead and it starts getting hot, head for the deep weed edge with a bass jig or crankbaits.. I love pulling up fish from 12 to 20 feet down in the middle of the day

I like to drag a jig slowly, underneath lilypads. I had great success with this last year!
