hey, michael, who knows you may have found a new killer pattern. good job. remember though, you can only use a single hook in the rivers on the northshore up to the first barrier. trebles are ok in the lake. i caught a 7lb steelhead once in the 60's on a black and white [brand name aqua]spoon. you got black and yellow maby try a black and white spinner half black on top and the other white on the bottom, maby call it the smelt spinner grin. good luck.

Not to steer off topic but I've seen your posts quite often. I used to live on a tributary to Lake Michigan, and my favorite spinner was a #3 Blue Fox Vibrax in fire tiger with the hair cut off. Although my biggest brown came on a gold spinner #2... I think. That fish weighed a FAT 26lbs! Let her go to spawn. I had no idea at the time that the state record was 28lbs. (surpassed now). Nice lures! Thanks for asking the Walleye guys what we thought.

For trolling on a clear lake at night... Blue taildancers(rapalas). If I'm shallow along a weed line or on a mid lake hump trolling husker jerk(rapala). If I'm casting cranks at devils lake Salmo hornets I like orange or a grayfish color.
