Hevi Shot "Magnum Blend", Your thoughts??

Has anyone tried this?

I would like to shoot a few round tosee how they pattern but cannot seem to find it.

Lot of them around online last time I check a couple of weeks ago. Otherwise Cabelas is likely your best shot at finding them locally. I have not used them myself. Some have had good results and others not based on what I've heard..

i was excited about the hevi-shot blend, I already knew straight #5 hevi shot great out of my benelli with a .665? choke. I figured the blend would have increased pattern density. Turns out it was worse, even worse than #4 Federals.

I also got some for my 20 gauge benelli and it shoots about the same as #5 winchester lead shot. Not impressed with this shell but obviously things vary by choke and gun

Remington has a load with 4 shot and 4 shot lead duplex load. I don't have a gun that likes the load but my dad's gun shoots it decent. But his really likes the winchester elite #6 load.

So many options out there.

I did some test patterning today with the "Blend" Whoa!!!!

20 Yards = blew a 2-1/2" hole through the 1-1/2" wood back stop.

35 Yards = put 55+ pellets in the head and neck

50 Yards = I missed slightly to the left but still managed to put 18 pellets in the head and neck.

I am going to to do an Ice and Jello shot test at 50 Yards later this week.

I like It!!!

But Holy [PoorWordUsage] do these loads have a kick to them!!!!

Also at over $4.50 a shot they better perform...

Lets hope I only need "1"

Shot my tom tonight with the hevishot #6 shot at 40 yards and he dropped right where he stood.

If you check around and do the rebate you can cut that cost in half.
