beakgeek
While we were at the Sports Show, after looking at the Ranger, Skeeter, and Nitro Bass boats we stopped and looked at the Bass Trackers. The 2011 TRACKER Pro Team 175 TXW was about $14,000. After seeing the $23-36,000 boats I got the go ahead to get my first boat!Super stoked!Anyone own a Bass Tracker?

Juan Grande
Congrats! I got mine the same way. Brought my wife to the boat show and got approval on a new Lund. She even encouraged me to upgrade from teh 90 hp to 115.
bucketmouth64
Congrats! I presume it was the red one there. We were there this afternoon. I would suggest getting a MK trolling motor. I presume the tracker 40 is mounted on it? It's made by motor guide. Hated the trolling motor and I upgraded to 24v MK. I have the tracker Pro Team 165. RK
Hiya - Congrats on the new ride! PT 175 is a very fun boat. I guided out of them in Alaska and they are a riot. Not a boat for big windy water, but for small lakes they're a blast, and they're a great river boat besides.I agree on upgrading the TM. You'll appreciate having a 24v vs a 12. As far as the rest of the boat, you'll have to see what storage compartments are dry and which aren't, and take that into account. Not tons of storage on those boats, but sometimes not all bad.Trackers in general are solid, decent boats. Not the fit/finish or bells and whistles of a Ranger, but not the price tag either. I've fished out of a Tracker for close to 10 years now, and I love mine.I do too much multi-species stuff for a bass boat to be practical for me (hard to mount downriggers on 'em...) but I crawled around in a Nitro Z-7 yesterday, and it was pretty tempting...Have fun with the new toy!Cheers,Rob Kimm
RK
By the way, I completely agree on bringing the BOSS to the show.My wife was up late last night trying to decide whether next year's spring break will be to the Gulf Coast in Louisiana (monster redfish) or Table Rock Lake..."Either's fine with me, honey..."
