Tee Pee style portable

Hi

We were in Ashalnd, Wi last weekend and did a little fishing on the Chequamegon Bay by the ore dock and noticed that there were quite a few of these black tee pee style houses that people were using. Does anyone know who makes them?

Thanks, I tried their site before posting but they didn't have any info. I also know they sell them at Anglers All in Ashland but they were closed when i went by and saw them. Google did me no good either.

Wow.. Now that is a blast from the past. As a kid, dad & I would go fishing up in Ashland/Bayfield. We had one similar to those in a army green. I will have to ask Dad who made his.. Thanks for the memory flash..

PF- How did you do fishing? We were up a week ago and did ok. LOTS of smelt and a few coho and brownies and perch. Plenty of eel pout at night also!

They've been used out there for a long time and one of the first portable shelters made.

Lightweight, good in wind as in not as likely to blow away once set up, and collapses for ease of transport.

Two things I'll never forget about fishing Chequamegon Bay, the wild lake currents and those black tee pees were everywhere.

Yeah, I did about average for me which means zero I did mark a few fish the second day but they were not interested in what I was offering.

Funny thing is I lived up there for 5 years but never went fishing on the bay in the winter. Of course some of that time I was in college and didn't have space or money for the gear.
