Amsoil Saber Oil/Gas Mix

I called Strikemaster today and they said it was OK to run Amsoil Saber oil in a 50:1 ratio in my new Solo motor. Is it bad to break in a new auger motor with synthetic oil? I have read you should break in with non-synthetic oil/gas mix to seat valves correctly. Any experiences? I am using a 50:1 ratio as suggested.

I'm sure they did, but I never had any trouble with my gas augers (Jiffy and StrikeMaster) running them at 100:1.

As I said in the previous post, many people (manufacturers included) have trouble accepting a very lean gas/oil mix if they never used Amsoil before.

If you are nervous about it, run it richer.

Amsoil offers a warranty on your engine if you use their product according to their directions.

I've been using Amsoil Sabre Pro for last couple years with great results. I drill somewhere in the neighborhood of 3-4000 holes a winter. Broke in a new Jiffy this year with no problems. IMO, I wouldn't go any more rich than the recommended 100:1
