sight for 12 ga cantilever barrel

had the great fortune to win a H&R partner 12 ga with cantilever rifled slug barrel, of course right after i bought him a smooth bore barrel for an 870!

my son will use it for deer in the next season (his 2nd) after using 870 std barrell. he does not want a scope just a sight. what do you recomend?

Get a low power scope! He may not like it at first but after he picks out a few deer between some trees he will really like it. He will also be able to take some longer shots with it. I got the Hastings rifled barrel for my 870 and could shoot a lot better with it!

I dont even know if its possible to mount iron sights on a cantilevered barrel. (but i'm also not sure why anyone would want to).

Like leech said, get him a low power scope or a red dot scope/sight .

You could also look towards a red dot style sight, like the others have said I don't think you can put iron sight without going to a gunsmith and haveing them remove the cantalever and installing iron sights.
