To many miles????

Hey guys, heading up for the annual l.o.w trip but need a sled, found one online for sale that looks decent, i don't know anything about them really but it has 12,xxx on it, is that to many or does it really matter? Thanks

That's a ton of miles, I would be a little leary. That is like having 300,000 miles on your truck.

Yeah, thats what i figured, its for sale a motorsport place so thats a plus and its only 500 bucks, i'm getting desp. to find a decent mode of transportation at this point.

300,000 on a truck is not unheard of though. Just depends on how those miles were driven and who (if anyone) did regular maintenance. Has it been rebuilt? maybe the motor has 1000 miles on it.

Make sure to check out any rent options up that way. Could be a dang cheap option!

A snowmobile w/12k on it is pretty much at the end of the end. I wouldn't take it very far.

Unless you're looking for something just for the weekend, I would pass. Try to rent something if you need one that bad! Maybe borrow one?

Like Pooh said it all really depends. But I'd guess its probably done, but wouldn't hurt to ask questions as far as whats been replaced or repaired.

Heck they could be shot at any amount of miles depending how they were riden and if there was maintence done and things fixed right away when they broke.

My wreck that I use for icefishing[indy 500] was trashed at 4400 miles. Its pretty much new now but if I hadn't gotten it for little or nothing I would have never put any money in it. I almost threw in the towel when I seen the bulkhead was busted up, but I put a "fix it" on that too.
